Questions about Friends’ Flights
Yes. To connect through byAir Friends, both of you need the app and must be signed in. Send an invite link, then your friend opens it and taps Connect. If they install byAir after receiving the link, they need to open the original invitation again.
No. Once you’re connected, flights your friend adds to My Flights appear automatically in your Friends tab while their Share My Flights setting is on.
Your shared flights and, if enabled, your flight statistics. Your booking details, notes, and travel documents are not shared. Friends see flight information, not your phone’s location.
Yes. In Profile → byAir Friends, turn off Share My Flights to hide your flights from all friends. Share flight stats is a separate setting. You can also remove a friend at any time.
Friends lets you see each other’s flights inside byAir. Share with Family lets the person flying send flight updates to contacts in WhatsApp or Telegram. The recipient doesn’t need byAir. These are separate features; connecting as friends doesn’t automatically enable messages.
Yes. Currently, the person sharing flight updates needs byAir Pro to set up Share with Family. Recipients receive updates in WhatsApp or Telegram and don’t need a byAir subscription.
